Dainty Hamsa Hand Blue Turquoise Inlaid Sterling Silver on Black Necklace

  • $27.99

The Hamsa symbol originated in Middle Eastern culture and represents the “Hand of God”. In all faiths, it is known as a protective sign and it brings its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune. Another significant ancient symbol is The Evil Eye which dates back almost 3,000 years. It is believed to provide protection against evil forces. Thai Artisan Goong has combined these ancient symbols to create this very unique necklace. Both beautiful and elegant, this vintage design is crafted from sterling silver and accented with stone inlays. The pendant rests on a sterling silver cable chain, that measures 18 inches, and is then finished with a spring ring closure. All coming together to create this unique take on two very powerful symbols. A truly stunning piece of jewelry that will look great with any outfit.

Goong worked very hard learning traditional embroidery, weaving and jewelry design. Her favorite was jewelry design because she loved how she could use native materials such as semi-precious stones and silver to create beautiful pieces. Goong worked hard honing this craft and she opened a small workshop where she could design and create silver jewelry. Goong’s dream of owning her own business so she could provide for her family was finally coming true.
