Artisan Na learned the jewelry trade from her parents, who owned a made to order jewelry business. Being the youngest daughter out of four children, she saw how hard her parents worked to provide for the family. They would often work every day and for long hours to make enough money to provide for them. Na wanted to help, so she started designing jewelry with her mother at a very young age. She loved the time they spent together, and she learned so much about metal working techniques and tribal design. Na soon discovered her passion was to create jewelry of her own. When the time came for her parents to retire, Na took over the day to day operations of the business. The family business is now thriving, and she supports her parents during their retirement. We love Na’s designs because she follows the traditional techniques. All handcrafted from raw silver, because this is how her parents did it and she carries their legacy forward.
“I love the way sterling silver feels in my hand and I love the many things that can be made with it. Silver metalworking has been a family tradition for many generations, and I have been working with silver almost all of my life. I follow tradition because that is the way I was taught, and it keeps the culture of my ancestors alive. I sometimes create modern designs, but I always use traditional metalworking techniques to make them. -Na
