Artisan Anucha is another artisan from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Truly a hotspot for talented artisans, this area of Thailand is well known for its handcrafted goods. This is where artisan Anucha learned the craft of jewelry making. An expert silversmith, he has been making unique jewelry for over 25 years. His teachers are from the different Hill Tribes that call Chiang Mai home. As a young man, he traveled from village to village and learned different techniques for creating jewelry. He has combined what works best for him and his style of jewelry. A beautiful mix of sterling silver, sparkling crystals, iridescent pearls, and vibrant semi-precious stones are the colors he uses to create his unique artwork, which is stunning handcrafted jewelry. We here at AeraVida are sure you will love his work as much as we do.
“Greetings, my name is Anucha and I was born in Chiang Mai. I grew up around many talented artisans and I was amazed at what they could do. I wanted to learn this art, so I traveled from one village to another learning the techniques of the local Hill Tribes. What I was not taught, I figured out on my own. I think that this type of art is fulfilling, I am able to express my creativity while doing something that I enjoy. Not everyone is as lucky as I am, to be able to work at something they love. Because I love this art form, I am obsessed with the quality of my work. I hope you appreciate the effort that goes into each piece of jewelry that I make.”
