Artisan Kannika was born in the northern city of Lampang, a city renowned for its amazing landscapes. The natural beauty of this place is well renowned in Thailand and this is one of the inspirations for Kannika’s creativity. The many festivals held throughout Thailand also have also played a big influence on her designs. The Songkran Festival for example, features the ceremony of splashing water, which symbolizes purification and the washing away of one’s sins and bad luck. The bright colors of these festivals come through in Kannika’s designs. By combining these influences with raw stones, pearls, seashells, and metal, Kannika achieves a beautiful balance of style and color. A truly talented artisan, we love the beautiful elegance found with her pieces and we are sure that you will love them too.
“I believe that life is wonderful gift and it should be lived to the fullest. Beautiful and vibrant colors make for a happy life, so I love to use bright colors in my original designs. I like using native materials, stones that were mined in Thailand’s mountains, seashells from the coast with sterling silver and brass. I like to mix things up and showcase the beauty found within my homeland. The beauty of a culture is often expressed through its traditions, which I follow when making each piece. This partnership with Aeravida is very exciting and I feel blessed to be able to share my jewelry with the world.”
