This beautiful brooch was handmade in Thailand by artisan, Lai. A sweet accessory for a sweet lady, this pin/brooch was handcrafted from Thailand. This piece features natural shells and freshwater pearls (dyed) in a floral design.
Artisan Aoy hails from Trang Province, which is located in the southern part of Thailand. The ancient city of Trang was first inhabited more than 2,000 years ago and it is still an important trading center for the country. Growing up in a family of merchants, she learned the business of trade at a very young age. As she grew older, Aoy decided that she would venture out on her own. She learned the art of jewelry making and clothing design from local artisans she met at the markets. After many years of practicing her craft, she was able to open her own store in the bustling city of Bangkok. Her flourishing business pays testament to hard work and her success is a true inspiration. We here at AeraVida love her unique designs and we are excited to share them with all of you.
“My designs come from nature and from what I see around me. I love combining different colors and natural materials to get one-of-a-kind pieces. The simple beauty found within a flower blossom or the unique pattern of natural stone all inspire me to make beautiful pieces of jewelry and clothing. Wearing something beautiful will bring happiness to your soul, so I create my products to spread that happiness. I am very lucky to be able to earn a living and to support my family while doing something that I truly love. I hope you enjoy wearing my creations as much as I enjoyed making them.”
